SHIGA
A mountain village that is the source of the Ane-gawa River, flowing from Mt. Ibukiyama and swelling in the vicinity of Lake Biwa, and one of the very best spots for snow in all of Kansai. The flowing water is used to drive pestles for processing rice and the water bubbling up at the foot of the mountain is also drawn into the village.
