Shiga Prefecture is located in almost the exact center of Japan and also boasts the islands’ largest lake, Lake Biwa. The Biwako Visitors Bureau was established in 1952 and became a Public Interest Incorporated Association in April 2013. Since then we have been working with Shiga to develop a variety of projects promoting interest in and the development of the prefecture’s tourism and products.
