Makino Pic-land

An agricultural park where you can enjoy picking seasonal fruit. Experience picking early summer cherries, rare for Kansai fruit parks, along with blueberries, grapes, chestnuts, sweet potatoes and apples. They also have a shop that sells handmade gelato and souvenirs.

The café “Tree-Lined Café Metasequoia” is a fashionable spot with a fantastic view out over the lines of metasequoia trees. Particularly popular menu items include a selection of sweets using a bounty of seasonal ingredients.
The restaurant here also boasts plenty of regional dishes and a varied lunch menu. 60 seats in the general dining area provide ample space to relax, while there are another 60 available to be used for various purposes by large groups.

The Makino Pic-land center house includes a shop where all sorts of regional specialties can be purchased. The Makino Pic-land special gelato, created on the premises, is especially popular; along with a robust standard selection, there is also fruit gelato created from fruit-farm produce. A visit to Makino Pic-land is not complete without a visit to the gelato stand.
