SHIGA
Mt. Ibukiyama is the commander of water and the source of multiple large rivers, and no less than nine villages in the vicinity still dedicate taiko drum dances to the mountain in order to ensure a good rainfall. Even today, the people living on the poorly irrigated fan-shaped land around the mountain continue to pass down their prayers and gratitude for the water that sustains them.
