SHIGA
A display of yabusame (mounted archery) by the Takeda School from the Japanese Traditional Archery on Horseback Association. After first making an offering of the arrows at the main sanctuary in the Kaburaya Houken-no-gi ritual, participants proceed to the front path to the shrine and conduct the Tencho-chikyu-no-shiki ritual, in which three horseback riders race at full gallop along the path while shooting in succession at three hanging targets.
