Biwako Valley

A cutting-edge ropeway with glass sided cars will transport you to the mountain top, allowing you to enjoy the sensation of walking through the air. Upon arrival you'll be able to enjoy the epic panorama of Lake Biwa to the north and south. There are also all the restaurants and sporting facilities you could require!
Other popular attractions include the zip line adventure, sledding and other sports, a puzzle solving adventure and a sightseeing lift (operates seasonally). The observation deck is also very popular with couples!
<Winter season>
A ski slope that also lets you look out over Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan, from a mountain peak at 1,174m. Making use of the fastest, most advanced large carriage cable car in Japan, which opened in February 2008, you can reach the slope in just three and a half minutes. From the peak the stunning panorama of Lake Biwa spreads away from north to south, and many people visit every winter in order to enjoy a variety of winter sports. The main slope allows you to take in the glory of Lake Biwa while you ski, and there's also a course that cuts through the forest; you'll find something for everyone to enjoy, from beginners to experts. Rental of ski gear costs 5,000yen for adults and 3,500yen for children for the day. Everything you need can be rented, so please see the website for more details.

★CLOSE: 2017.09.04 - 10.06 (due to breakdown of ropeway)
