The Mt. Hiei Garden Museum, located on the top of the mountain, is a garden inspired by a French artist’s paintings. It’s location offers at the same time a beautiful point of view of Lake Biwa.
This is the map to Mt. Hiei. Although we could have accessed it from Shiga, we decided to go from Kyoto.
We reached Mt. Hiei's peak by cable car and rope way.
This was our view during our quick ascension.
From time to time, brown leafs blessed us from their presence. It was beautiful.

Mt. Hiei Garden museum was inspired by a French artist's paintings. There are a lot of different kind of flowers blooming there.
Even if I forgot the name of the flowers, their beauty still remains in my memory.

This is a kind of eggplant called "Fox face". It's true that when you look at it closely, it really has a fox face look.
