I would say I had a particularly delicious experience in Shiga Prefecture thanks to the warm welcoming Kafuka Strawberry Farm. We had the pleasure to enter Kafuka Strawberry Farm greenhouse and pick up as many strawberries as we wanted to eat. Everything produced at Kafuka Farm is really healthy and tasteful and I would suggest everyone to go and have a look at their products selection.
In the morning we first arrived at Kafuka Strawberry Farm.
As you can see on the poster, this Farm is famous for its strawberries, hand-crafted ice cream...
We met a very kind employee, who introduced us Kafuka Strawberry Farm.
we then entered the strawberries greenhouse.
the strawberries in the greenhouse are exposed to the sun on stands. strawberries are waist-high, thus, easy to pick-up.
Kafuka Farm's strawberries are beautiful as well as good.
the employee kindly explained us how to pick-up strawberries
and also helped us into chosing the best ones
chocolate and milk sauce toppings were also available. and were kindly given to us into plastic boxes, so that we could dip our strawberries into sauces.
all of the strawberry did actually look very delicious and it was not difficult to chose.

in the Farmer's store you can find many hand-made products.
here there are some of the tomatoes Kafuka Farm cultivates.
in the Farmer's store you can also find a seasonal seletcion of ice cream. the ice cream is made of Kafuka's natural products, therefore very tasty.
I had the pleasure of tasting a yuzu ice cream and it was abosolutely delicious
Joey did have strawberry ice cream and was very satisfied too.
We then headed to Okazaki Restaurant to eat Ohmi beef. Okazaki Restaurant is stylish and yet traditional at the same time.
a smiling Tanuki greeting the custumers at Okazaki Restaurant entrance
Its building is modern and offers all the comforts consumers need, but the food that is served is traditional, as well as some tatami rooms in which you can enjoy an amazing meal together with the atmosphere of a traditional tatami room.
Ohmi beef is one of the three most appreciated and highly evaluated Japanese beefs, that are called the sandai wagyuu: Kobe beef, Matsusaka beef and Ohmi beef.
Ohmi-beef Teppanyaki lunch: Ohmi beef, vegetables and red konnyaku
