Fun awaits you on one of shigas many river adventures. Including river cruises, rafting and onsens.
Time for a fun river cruise!
The cruise started in Setagawa new port and ended in Ishiyamadera’s port.
Our guide gave us facts on the area and even sang for us.
On the top deck you could get a great view of the river.
We finally arrived in ishiyamadera’s port, next stop rafting.
Once we arrived the basecamp we were briefed on safety.
Some of the gear that we got to use on the adventure.
For those that don’t have clothing they want to get wet they have wet suits, but it might still be best to bring extra clothing.
The challenge that awaited us! We are all ready for rafting!!
Let the challenge begin!!
Before hit the hard stuff we played games on the raft.
Now the fun part, rafting the rapids.
Great success, we conquered the rapids!!
Everyone is having fun and doing their best on the rapids.
You feel like a true adventurer!
After rafting we had a meal waiting for us at a onsen, Oh Boy!!
What a great meal that was.
Now this something that you can only get in Japan , Yummy!!
The next on our agenda was a very famous Japanese sweet maker “Kano Shoju An Sunai-no-Sato”.
While there we got to try out some of the famous sweets.
Old school Japanese kitchen.
You can enjoy the surrounding area.
There is more to do in “Kano Shoju An Sunai-no-sato” than eat sweet, you can also see really cool works of art.
The Garden in the Sweet maker.
You need to go rafting at least once in the rapids of Shiga, it is a fun for all ages and is a great break from the craziness of other cities in Japan like Tokyo and Osaka. So if you are ever in the area come on down, it is a blast!!
