The "Evening bell at Mii-dera Temple" is famous for being one of the Three Bells of Japan, and also as one of The Eight Views of Omi. On New Year’s Eve, December 31, each year it is used to ring the New Year’s Bells at Mii-dera Temple. It is also possible to ring the bell yourself.
